I can't believe it is June already! My longtime assistant Carson just finished school for the year. And I am loving being back in the studio again after a dream trip this May.
I took my Mom to Paris, France, where we spent ten days together moving slow - exploring one thing a day, and having a trip of a lifetime. Highlights included exploring Victor Hugo's home, touring Sainte Chapelle and the Notre Dame, spending lot's of time at the Louvre and Versailles, and surprisingly staying nearly a full day on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. My Mom spoke French everywhere we went (!!!), and I enjoyed a long week away from the studio. If you are traveling to Black Mountain I hope that you find yourselves having as good of a time as my Mom and I did when we got to travel.
We returned right before the weather changed. We had a pretty serious drought all spring, but thankfully it has been raining again these past few weeks.
Yesterday I threw honey pots on the wheel, and trimmed them this morning. This afternoon I threw berry bowls, which will get trimmed tomorrow. Studio life continues....
Much love,
Sarah
