Hi friends,
Well this spring has been full of challenges for us here at Sarah Sunshine Pottery. We are a tiny team, and when life throws us hardships we unite together to take care of one another, and do the best we can.
Many of you know by now that my beloved dog Griffin passed away suddenly on March 7th. You might have had the good fortune to meet him in my studio or at the store. He was a delightful goldendoodle with incredible amounts of joy. He lived life to the fullest right up until the last moment, when an undetected cancer on his spleen called him home.
I am gutted. And our entire studio team has been in mourning. We had a beautiful resting ceremony for him last week.
At the same time, staff health challenges have made it difficult to add anything extra to our load - so with a heavy heart we are cancelling our 2026 Deviled Egg Contest. We are SO sorry. If you planned your trip to Black Mountain around this super fun event - please still come to the store and let us know, we will have a treat for you.
